I often ask myself what’s even the point of a royal commission and a coronial inquest. 1991 and 339 recommendations. And what do we have..nothing!! We’re still experiencing the same trauma that’s in that report #JusticeforTanyaDay

Little of those recommendations have been implemented leaving Aboriginal people at risk of being racially targeted and dying at the hands of a corrupt system #JusticeforTanyaDay

A coronial inquest is meant to be about truth telling and all families get are culturally unsafe spaces where our loved ones life and our grief are dismissed #JusticeforTanyaDay

To sit in a court that’s not our law or our way, to have police put on the stand to cover up, deceive. To falsify evidence and literally laugh in the face of grieving families #JusticeforTanyaDay

All while our grief is on display and we’re expected to sit quietly in a court room after watching our loved ones die on repeat on CCTV footage #JusticeforTanyaDay

Where is the justice and accountability in any of the ways western civilisation operates #JusticeforTanyaDay
