1/n So I posed the following question to a large (but ideologically-skewed) sample of white respondents on via Prolific.
2/n Here are average responses along the 7-point measure of ideology.
3/n As you can see, white liberals attribute the overwhelming majority of black-white differences to discrimination and bias. White conservatives don't reject the role of discrimination, but they don't think it accounts for the majority of the differences.
4/n Obviously, if you think that the only reason why there are differences is because of discrimination, it follows that the absence of discrimination = equality of outcomes
5/n And thus anything short of equality of outcome is taken to signify discrimination. This is where we're heading folks (or perhaps we're already there).
