NEW: We've published a report in partnership with @UnivalleCol showing that the herbicide used by the #Colombian government to eradicate illicit crops negatively impacts people’s reproductive health. #GlifosatoEsViolencia

The herbicide, glyphosate—which is sprayed over coca fields—can cause harmful effects on fertility. Glyphosate has been linked to miscarriages and potential problems during and after pregnancy. #GlifosatoEsViolencia

We and our partners plan to present this “clear evidence of the negative effects of glyphosate on reproductive health” to the Truth Commission of Colombia. #GlifosatoEsViolencia

Reproductive autonomy is the ability of all people to freely decide whether, when, how often, and how to have children. This could be violated if Colombia decides to continue glyphosate spraying. #GlifosatoEsViolencia

We urge the #Colombian government to prioritize the health of its citizens and stop this program. Recognizing glyphosate spraying as #ReproductiveViolence and ending this practice will move the country one step closer toward gender equity, justice, and peace #GlifosatoEsViolencia
