"Dear Lord, shock me with your blessings, wear your heavy garment of power on me."

That's how God answered Sister Joan's prayers, and we're still trying to fan her back to consciousness.

If God hits you with that trailer of blessings you've been asking for, will you survive it?

My Dad told me about a man of God that prayed to God for nothing but power. This was his every day and night prayer.

When he wasn't relenting on his request, God decided to visit him. He was in his sitting room studying God's word when He got an urge to visit the room.

Getting to his room, he saw a live chicken on his bed, without hesitation, as if by impulse, he called down fire, and the fire came down raw, devouring the chicken and almost burning the bed, but he acted fast.

This experience wasn't even up to 20seconds. It happened so fast (not in the dream, it happened live). When it was over, he felt so bad, he heard God say to him, "what if that was a human being you weren't expecting to see?

What if someone just came to randomly set you up, is that how you'll call down fire on my creation without hesitation?"

He knelt in repentance and asked for mercy. At that point he knew what he should be praying for wasn't power,

he knew what he needed to work on, his angry and easily irritable spirit.

Many times, it's not that God cannot grant those requests, the question is if you can handle it. Sometimes, when you finally get the capacity to handle it, you might not even need to pray, it'll just come

Some things follow principles. Develop the character to sustain it and your wishes will follow.

If God blesses you with money now, do you have a system to grow and multiply it, or you'll go broke in the next minute?

If God gives you that dream job, will you still stand or we'll have to search to find the girl that was once a believer?

Questions, questions, questions!

I pray we truly look within to scrutinize ourselves and find genuine answers. May we be led.
