To achieve a trans-fat free 🌎🌏🌍, WHO recommends that countries:

✅Set mandatory limits for industrially produced trans-fat or ban partially hydrogenated oils
✅Invest in monitoring
✅Advocate for further regulations in their region

In 2019, the @IFBAlliance committed to align with the WHO target to eliminate industrially produced trans-fat from the global food supply by 2023.

They also discussed actions to reduce salt, sugar and saturated fats in processed foods 👉bit.ly/2V4hsnG #REPLACEtransfat

This NCD Action Week, let’s start limiting trans-fat intake to less than 1% of total energy intake or less than 2.2 g/day with a 2,000-calorie diet.
