in memory of one the most magical people i've met @jtnimoy JT was my earliest introduction to computer vision, via jmyron for @ProcessingOrg webcamxtra.sourceforge.net

from the little time we spent together, i felt that JT had a unique way of approaching the world that opened up the certainty of things into something more undefined, surreal, sublime.

(one of my favorite glimpses into her mind comes from the CLOUDS documentary cloudsdocumentary.com i highly recommend checking it out, it's poetry. she says she learned to code by “addicting” herself to it)

JT's magic was paired with mental health challenges that closed her off from friends. i’m realizing, too late, that when someone irrationally claims you have insulted them and to never speak with them again — but later initiates conversation,

maybe that’s a good sign that their boundaries have changed. i'm still learning how to navigate these kind of crises, and i have a lot more work to do. and i have a feeling i'm not the only one.

thinking a lot about the last message JT sent me: an exhortation to fundamentally rethink where my energy was going
