Borderline personality disorder (BPD) or Emotionally Unstable personality disorder is a type of personality disorder.

You might be diagnosed if you have difficulties with how you think and feel about yourself and other people, and are having problems in your life as a result.

There are 4 groups of symptoms. Follow me closely:

📍EMOTIONAL INSTABILITY:

rage

sorrow

shame

panic

terror

long-term feelings of emptiness and loneliness

You may have severe mood swings over a short space of time.

📍UNSTABLE RELATIONSHIPS

- Feel that other people abandon you when you need them

-Make efforts to prevent being left alone

Constantly texting/phoning ,clinging on to that person and refusing to let go

making threats to harm or kill yourself if that person ever leaves you

📍IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR

Impulse to self-harm – such as cutting your arms with razors or burning your skin with cigarettes; in severe cases, this impulse can lead to feeling suicidal and you may attempt suicide

📍DISTURBED PATTERN OF THINKING

Upsetting thoughts – such as thinking you're a terrible person or feeling you do not exist.

You may not be sure of these thoughts and may seek reassurance that they're not true.

The cause is unknown but there are some factors that might be responsible:

being a victim of emotional, physical or sexual abuse

being exposed to long-term fear or distress as a child

being neglected by 1 or both parents

.Unresolved fear, anger and distress from childhood

To treat this: You really need to see a doctor urgently.

It will involve some form of Psychotherapy which is a big subject on its own.
