"On this 19th anniversary of 9/11, let's remember:

1. The innocent Iraqis who died because we had another liar Republican president who lawlessly invaded Iraq for unknown

2/ reasons. Yet Halliburton, VP Cheney's company and its subsidiaries, made hundreds of millions....if not billions.

2. The Iraqis kicked out jobs in the bureaucracy and army under W's "de-baathification" regime. The invasion of Iraq drew in Al Qaeda and this move paved the

3/ way for the insurgency and the rise of ISIS.

3. The innocent Afghans killed by our ill-informed air strikes.

4. The Afghans who have since been murdered by Pakistan's proxies because the US never had the vaginal fortitude to forge an effective punitive strategy towards

4/ Pakistan.

5. The Afghan soldiers and police who have died in a war that the US could never wage effectively.

6. Our allies in and out of uniform who died as the US pursued policies that insured our defeat on the installment plan.

7. The US soldiers and civilians who have

5/ died or who have been injured because of failed and misguided US policies in Afghanistan and Iraq.

8. I have left out Pakistan from this list for deliberate reasons: Pakistanis have paid heavily since 9/11 but they they have paid heavily because of their own government's

6/ addiction to terrorism as a tool of foreign policy.

9. Being a patriot means that I subject my country to the same criticisms to which I subject others. Americans should ponder what we have done, at what costs and with what gains and with what colossal fuckery."
