One of the most important things #TraderMoni & co (the GEEP suite) have accomplished is financial inclusion: all beneficiaries (petty traders, artisans etc) get mobile wallets, through which they receive their loans. And it’s a chance to start building a credit history.
Some interesting numbers. @geep_ng has a nationwide network of 17,000 data collection agents, enumerating beneficiaries, using a custom-made app.
- The agents collect 43 data points on each enumerated person.
- More than 50% of the 2.4m beneficiaries so far are women.
