A day with HE Babagana Zullum.
A call came in late in the night, the caller was a senior colleague and he gave orders: be at airport by 8am you travelling with HE and Acting Perm Sec to Niger republic

Got there early and a few minutes after 8 am HE walked in with HFC of @NCFRMI.
Before 9 am we were airborne and heading to Diffa just on the fringes of Nigerien border.

Locals here say they spent Naira all their lives and even some don't even know CFA (the official Niger republic currency).
The mission was a visit to Nigerian Refugees in the Diffa (less I talk about Diffa town better )

We visited camp and the never say die Nigerian attitude was on display, they cheer HE and prayed for him and us all.
We brought them hope of return back to Nigeria, there ancestral house and communities might be gone but they will be helped to find a new life.

Thereafter we proceeded to Damasak ( they dreaded damasak) first thing I noticed was a bullet hole in the military truck I was riding in

This brave men were tense but still got the soldiers ginger. The spoke of the boys (bokoharam) and how they will continue crushing them.

We visited another IDPs camp same treatment for HE who on inquiry they say is a regular visitor and he spoke in Kanuri, a language I have zero idea of.
We finally made our way back to Maiduguri exhausted and tired but I heard they saying HE had a meeting in 30 minutes.

I was exhausted and clearly he wasn't, as i tweet this HE Babagana Zullum is currently leading our convoy himself as we embark on another journey to hinterland of Borno State
