I don’t know if you believe in the supernatural but something weird happened yesterday which made us play this out of fear/discomfort on our way to Teerthan Valley in Himachal. We were on NH305 near this place called ‘Khun’ and around 6pm our car’s clutch suddenly got stuck..

and the the engine stopped picking any power at all. There were zero mobile signals and we started waiting for someone. After 15-20 minutes an old man came and asked us what’s the issue. We told him about the car and asked if there’s a mechanic nearby. He told us

the garage is 10kms away but there’s a guy who’s a mechanic and his home is nearby and he can help. We said ok and tagged along. The place was just 500m from there. It was a home at the top of the hill, you know, those semi-constructed homes with just bricks and no paint and all

you often see at the roadside in mountains. We climbed on the top of the hill and there were two guys sitting on a mat and drinking kacchi daaru. One of the guys (he told us his name is Titu) who was the mechanic, asked the usual questions like “Kahan ja rahe ho?

Kya dikkat hai gaadi me”etc. The other guy was bhand af. He told us his name is Varun and like a typical bhand guy he was annoying and was saying things like “Arre wahan jaake naam le lena bhai ka kahin paise nahi dene padhenge”. We really urged Titu to come and check the car but

both of them urged us to stay and have a drink with them. We declined and said that we have to drive and can’t drink (also we didn’t want to drink kacchi daaru with complete strangers for obvious reasons and were getting late too). It was around 7pm by now

& it started getting dark. We kept asking Titu to come & check the car but he kept saying “Arre baitho aap piyo”. We also realised that the uncle who brought us here was gone. We started feeling uncomfortable and said we are going. When we were going, Titu with a weird smile said

“Aap ab jao. Aapki gaadi me koi dikkat nahi hogi.”, like he was damn sure that there won’t be any issue with the car. We went back and started the car and the clutch was kinda fine now, not perfect, but the car moved. We went ahead, stopped at the road where that home was,

said bye and moved forward. For next 5-6kms there was too much fog and we were scared that the car might stop again. After we were past the area, the fog disappeared and the car’s clutch worked perfectly fine like there was no issue at all. There were nearly no people or cars on

that road and it was around 8.30pm by now. Then me & my friend started discussing that it was really uncomfortable & there was something weird about those people. And then we realised something. Maybe those guys said that in a fun drunk way but during our conversation, they said

“Is ghar me hum rehte nahi hain. Ye to bas humara Bhoot Bangla hai jahan hum aate-jaate rehte hain”

It sounds funny now (even to us) but for the rest of our journey we played Hanuman Chalisa on loop 😭
