Egypt vs. Rome: Two Great Civilizations
#EgyptianKing #romancivilization
Do you think you can even compare a marvelous European city like Rome to a developing African country like Egypt? Rome was indeed one of the greatest cities. It had brilliant architects, who could build the colosseum, its numerous cathedrals and the leaning tower of Pisa.
Romans were also one of the smartest set of people. One of their greatest emperors, Julius Caesar, invented the Roman calendar, based on which the calendar that we use now called Gregorian calendar is based.
However, Rome has a tough competition from Egypt. Egypt is one of the most ancient and greatest of civilizations. Not only their architects built the great pyramids and Sphynx, they were also scholars. Best among these scholars were from a city in Egypt called Alexandria.
They invented the hieroglyphic. Hieroglyphic was a way of writing in the ancient days, that transformed a bunch of things that we see in our daily lives to letters.
These letters then could be written on a papyrus, again an invention of the ancient Egyptians, which was like a sheet of paper. Egyptians also had a unique culture, which included preserving their dead using a technology called mummifying.
Hence, it my opinion Egypt was a greater civilization compared to Rome. Roman civilization came in much later, and was also built on several inventions, discoveries and perspectives that Egypt had already developed.
