So were Kaivan Shroff not a Senior Advisor at the Institute of Education, the utter ignorance that this tweet promotes would not be as problematic. But because this demonstrates the intellectual vacuity of the "educated class" in America, it requires some clarifications.
1. Mr. Shroff seems to imply that there is an epidemic of LEO dying from COVID.
Mortality Rate for people between 35-64: 6%
%COVID deaths:
# LEO fatalities from COVID: 105
# Total LEO: 750,340
% of LEO Dead because of COVID: 0.013 %
Est# of Deaths from other causes: 45,020
Compare this to the % of Covid deaths for individuals between 25-64: 0.05%
You are actually less likely to die from COVID if you are NOT a member of Law Enforcement, than if you are.

2. The number of LEO's killed in the line of duty is quite small. Using the same dataset, the total number this year is 193.
But so is the likelihood of dying at the hands of police. In 2019, the total number was 621.
The difference is, of course, human agency.
Despite the vernacular, no one is a victim of cancer. Cancer doesn't have agency. Humans do.
BLM assumes that LEO have agency and use it to indiscriminately target Black men.
Blue Lives Matter assumes that protesters have agency and have unfairly targetted LEO
rather than the Mayors, Governors and Legislators who enact the laws which Law Enforcement Officers enforce. That is they are being singled out for blame and are being scapegoated.
They also believe that LEO plays a fairly important role in their communities and if they were removed or if their roles were diminished this would negatively impact the community.
3. Given Biden's statements regarding reinstituting lockdowns, Mr. Shroff seems to imply that lockdowns work. Unfortunately, epidemiological data implies that the severity of previous flu seasons has a greater impact on mortality than does whether or not a lockdown
was implemented. Since the premise of Lockdown science cannot explain Sweden, we should assume that the premises are wrong.
4. Finally, and of course, NY and CA have much higher mortality rates than South Dakota, Utah, and other states that have not locked down. Since Trump did not act like a dictator and did not impose restrictions, each state should be judged by its outcomes.
It is only wishful thinking to believe that tourism and an influx of outsiders caused California and New York to have higher mortality rates.
