Influence peddling: “Bannon wanted me to vouch for him to others,” said Michael Pillsbury of the Hudson Institute. “It’s as if he was obligated to Mr. Guo to deliver people who were influential.”

“‘There’s a cost to poking around about Mr. Guo,’ [Pillsbury] said. ‘Whatever he is is complicated.’”
