I am a Barr skeptic. His guiding light (just like Horowitz) is to preserve the DOJ.
Clinesmith HAD to get indicted but I think Barr would prefer the brand name bad actors (Brennan, Comey, Weissmann, etc.) get prosecuted by the public as opposed to the DOJ. 1/
That said, if Barr/Durham DID want to do the right thing (i.e. get scalps) in a way that "protects the institution"...there is a way to do it. 2/
The DNC/Media reactions to any sort of indictment are easy to predict:
Maddow's head would explode.
Tapper's forehead would be EXTRA-furrowed.
The Obama Machine would go into overdrive to dismiss it all as a political hitjob by Barr on behalf of Trump.

As part of their press conference rolling it out, one of the indicted brand name folks (Brennan?) acknowledges the existence & their role in the entire scheme?
Apologizing for putting the country through it. Apologizing for lying.
Apologizing to Trump. 4/
The Dems/Media couldn't just dismiss a John freakin Brennan admitting that Trump was right the whole time.
If Barr/Durham are doing the right thing, I really hope this is the reason why it's taking so long. End/
