Javed Iqbal is Pakistan’s best known serial killer - he raped & killed over a hundred boys - most of them runaways - living in a busy area of Lahore he was able to rape, kill & dismember them & dissolve their bodies in acid

Javed Iqbal wrote a letter to Jang Akhbar - he then gave himself up in the office of Jang Lahore - in the letter he said that he had murdered over 100 boys - runaways mostly and picking them up from Data Darbar area - his reason for this according to him was to seek revenge
For what he claimed was done to him when he was, as per his claim, wrongly arrested by police for sodomizing a boy - he claimed it wasn’t true but that it destroyed his mother & she died soon afterwards
That made him, he claimed, v v angry and he wanted to seek revenge on other mothers - that’s how he justified his crimes and deviancy - the judge said that his dead body should he cut into pieces just like he did with his victims bodies
His three accomplices, all teenaged boys were also arrested - police found vats of acid with human remains in his home in one of Lahore’s busiest areas - what puzzles me to this day was how he managed to do all this killing in a densely populated area with no one noticing
In any case, his body didn’t have to be cut into pieces like that of his victims because he was soon found hanging in his jail cell - it was thought by many that he was probably deliberately done to death by the police itself
