@absurdistwords Don't congregate together my fellow people. Use libraries as meeting places (far right people can so it is unlikely that they'd bomb a library). Reach out to libraries (ours just helped one homeless man get help and now has food money).
@absurdistwords On feet, move, each day. Move and keep on your toes. Go to libraries and if you have some cash use gyms. You can shower there. Some libraries have shower cards that allow people to use the rec showers for free. Carry only what you can and anything else you will have to discard.
@absurdistwords Homelessness is a triathalon and for those with mental illnesses (which after being homeless HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE PTSD?!?) it is a triathalon with a mountain on your back. There are safe havens but we can't congregate together or else THEY WILL KILL US.
@absurdistwords Every library system I have talked with is preparing for the worst, prepping staff on how to get help to people but we're library people not social services and the added stress and the classism in libraries is real. We need more social workers. Defund the police and hire
@absurdistwords More social workers. We need at least one for every 2 adults, MINIMUM, 3 for every family with kids and we need to open those fucking empty condos and houses to emergency services. This shit is ridiculous. At times of crisis we were told to ration food for troops...
