Salvation
How then does one become saved? It is by believing in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and confessing his lordship over your life.
At that point, you are born anew(again) with a brand new spirit that can relate directly with God without any sense of guilt.
All records of past deeds are wiped clean. Moreso, you (are able to) receive the Spirit of God.
It is a brand new start indeed.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do [them.]
