Use the hash tag #startimesScammingNigerians #StartimesStopTheScam

The fact of the matter:

1. Startimes subscribers are being forced to a daily subscription pattern that are charged more than 60% above the monthly subscription which they subscribed to. #StartimesScam #StartimesScammingNigerians #StartimesStopTheScam

The implication is that a monthly subscription of a bouquet which ordinary should last for 30 days now last 8 days. This they decided and carry out on their own without prior notification to millions of subscribers

When contacted through their Twitter handle, startimes customer care claimed it was due to a price change which they implemented on the first of August.

that following the price change, any subsequent subscription using the old price will be converted to daily plan and charge accordingly(note 64% above the monthly plan charge).

This they did without the consent of individual subscribers, no prior price change communication to the subscribers, no forewarning notice at the point of subscription, no change of such price change was effected at various online points of subscription.

All these silent approach was the tactics startimes used to scammed and continued to scam millions of innocent subscribers who ignorantly did subscription afterwards the claimed price change was effected.

3. If startimes should decide to utilise the monthly plan, should it not be charged on basis of the new price which should be 1700 reduced by 30days to give about 56 naira per day, such that persons subscribing at the old price gets 22days validity instead of fraudulent 8days?

For instance I ignorantly did a monthly subscription on the 27th of August 2020 after the said price increase and my subscription surprisingly got expires less than 8 days on the the 4th of September 2020.

If I were to be charged daily base on the new price of 1700, will it not be at 1700÷30 = 56.6 Naira per day to give me 1300÷56.6 = 23days? So, how did the startimes arrived at 8 days?

Please dear, reach out to, @NhrcNigeria, @NgComCommission, Consumer Protection, lend us your voice and ask the startimes to please stop the scam and revert our stolen airtime. The hash tag are: #StatmesScam
