This meeting was called unilaterally by ADMK’s Chief Coordinator without consulting Joint Coordinator & TN CM Edappadi Palanisamy. What prompted OPS to call for this meeting was posters put up in OPS’s home district Theni by supporters of EPS. 2/n
The posters which were put up by Nethaji Subash Senai (NSS), an organisation said to be working for the uplift of backward communities, also have listed out schemes implemented during this AIADMK rule. 3/n
They said EPS was the architect of these programmes and hence was fit to be CM again. Photographs of EPS have been prominently given along with those of the organisation’s founder V Maharajan on one side and minister K T Rajendra Balaji on the other. 4/n
Many OPS supporters were irked to see the posters near the Theni bus stand on Tuesday, and some of them ripped them off according to Times of India. 5/n

Yesterday about 7 PM, OPS suddenly called for meeting of ADMK top office bearers through a tweet much to the chagrin of EPS.
In the meanwhile, ADMK’s minority wing Chief and former MP Anwar Raja muddied the waters by remarking 6/n
“There will be political change in Tamil Nadu based on the decision of Chinnamma (VK Sasikala). Sasikala is expected to come out of Bengaluru prison by January 2021. 7/n
Sources in ADMK say, today, OPS may put his foot down and say, the decision to prompt EPS as CM was temporary, and only for this tenure. The decision who is the CM candidate needs to be taken afresh for 2021 polls would be the stand of OPS add sources. 8/8
