PROPHETESS MANTSOPA MAKHETHA:
She was born in 1795 at a place called Likotsi (Lesotho) and she died at the age of 111. Her death was registered as 11 November 1906.

She was credited with foretelling the rinderpest epidemic after Union and World War I, warning Africans against involvement. The sinking of the SS Mendi with the huge loss of African life is attributed to their disregard of this warning...

In 1851 she also prophesied that the Basotho would win a battle against the British troops led by Major Warden, she became renowned as a prophetess, living legend and advisor to Moshoeshoe I when her prophesies about successive wars were fulfilled...
