Hello, Minnesota! Early voting starts today for you! Fun facts: Minnesota is home to the best state fair in the world AND the nation’s first Indigenous woman elected to Lt. Gov. (the awesome @peggyflanagan). Here’s how and when you can vote!
Early voting starts TODAY, 9/18, and runs until Election Eve, 11/2. You can vote early, in-person at your county election office during normal business hours. Not sure where that is? Go find out: sos.state.mn.us/elections-voti…
Here in Hennepin County, head to the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis. Across the mighty Mississippi River in Ramsey County, go to the Ramsey County Elections building in Saint Paul.
Not registered? Not a problem. Minnesota is home to some of the BEST voting laws in the country (possibly why we also have some of the best voter turnout).
Bring proof of residence (ID with your address on it, ID w/out your address and a bill w/ it – or just bring a registered voter who can vouch for you!) and you can register and vote in the same trip. sos.state.mn.us/elections-voti…
Worried about voting early in-person because of COVID? I get it. You can use our handy-dandy @votesaveamerica tool to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you: votesaveamerica.com/everylastvote/…
If you’re returning your ballot in the mail, send it in by 10/20 to be sure it arrives on time, and please, please, double-check that you’ve filled everything out correctly and followed all the instructions.
Trump’s already fucking with the USPS. We don’t need to make it any easier for them to not count your vote.
Not sure you can trust sending it through the mail? Return your completed ballot in-person to the election office that issued your ballot by 3 PM on Election Day. Where’s your election office? Find out: sos.state.mn.us/elections-voti…
Want to be extra certain that Minnesota is counting your vote? You can track the status of your ballot. It’s like tracking a package, but more fun, and scarier, since our democracy hinges on the outcome of this election. mnvotes.sos.state.mn.us/AbsenteeBallot…
Ok Minnesota, you ready? Go vote. Do it now. It’s never too early – well before today it was. The @votesaveamerica state-by-state voting guide has got you covered. votesaveamerica.com/state/minnesot…
Don’t live in Minnesota? You can still make a plan to vote! There’s a guide for EVERY state right here. Make a plan. Be a voter. Save America. votesaveamerica.com/states/
You’re in Minnesota? You voted? Give yourself a taste of the State-Fair-that-might-have-been: a bucket of Sweet Martha’s Chocolate Chip cookies you can bake at home. (I know it’s not the same without milk from the milk barn, but it is a bucket of cookies). sweetmarthas.com/frozen-dough
