My leftist beliefs are informed by the singular idea that bad things happening is to expected, and fighting for good will always stack the odds against you. You have to be ready for the worst. Organize, uplift, and fight for whats right as if you're the only one left.
There are many people freaking out, and rightfully so. But RBG was pushing 90 and had health problems for a while. This was always a possibility, same as Joe losing is a possibility. You have to act with the worst outcome in mind.
What will you do if voting fails you? If a conservative judge is shoved through? Plan for that eventuality first, then move on to good eventualities.
Don't be discouraged and quit, but ALWAYS expect the worst. Because this world doesn't give a shit about what you WANT to happen
Essentially I am now only shocked when good things happen. Bad things happening barely makes me flinch.
Don't give up, but always have a backup plan. Make sure you have people you can rely on, a support network, a community. Thats what will get you through whats to come.
