PRAISE session: You dance your heart out
WORSHIP session: You fall under the anointing and even cry. The move of God is mighty
THE WORD: You sleep off.

If you are the ‘you’ I’m referring to, Kindly wink at me and get prepared. This deliverance session gon’ be heavy😒

Shall we conclude that the spirit of sleep that infects people during the word session is evil, or we are just gon’ pretend?🙄

Back in my uni days, I used to pray and study on my bed, that was the best position for me because I shared the room with three other persons.

It happened that no matter the position I take, until I decide in my heart that I want to sleep, even if I’m so tired, I will not sleep.

But one day, (somebody say one day), maybe it’s pride that entered, I decided to “check” if I could sleep while studying the Bible,

I was reading and closed my eyes, that was how I drifted to sleep.

Ladies and gentlemen, every other day I carried the Bible to read, sleep came like a thief in the night. Lol.

It took really long *emphasis on long* before I could get back to studying without sleeping.

Some people cannot just help it, once you see the pastor, it’s like he came with a sleeping pill to blow on y’all faces, you don’t even know how you sleep away, and immediately he’s done, your eyes shine like torch.

I want to tell you it’s a habit and it can be unlearned, it might take long, but you can unlearn it by finding your interest again, NOT GETTING ANGRY with the ushers that wake you up, don’t deceive yourself if you know you’ll sleep while you sit,

get an accountability partner to check you.

Err, You can send this message ‘codedly’ to the people that struggle with this. Issa code o!

PS: Special thanks to the ushers that keep doing their job even when people look at them with side eye🙄. We love you❤️

How was church today fam, and how do you stay awake while studying or praying or listening to the word at home, at night (especially), or in church? Biko, tell us.
