Welcome to day 4 and 5 of our weekly legislative focus over organized labor here in Missouri. Today we will talk about why labor is important to us, and about our strong pro-labor campaign.

Organized labor is important to me for several reasons. First, my wife and I have experienced the benefits first hand for almost the past decade.
Knowing that the work you are doing is directly providing for your health insurance, benefits, and retirement, provides security.
I have a personal connection to labor here in KCMO as well. My great grandfather Shackelford was a UAW member who worked at the first Ford plant here in KC.
Being endorsed by the UAW Midwest States CAP means so much for several reasons, especially the family connection.
Labor is important to me as well because we have hundreds if not thousands of active union members and retirees who live in District 16, and they need a State Representative who will protect their workers rights, benefits, and retirements.
I’m proud that #Team16 and our campaign is the strongest pro-labor campaign in this race. Just look at all of the Union organizations who have endorsed us thus far.

The thousands of working class Missourians in District 16 deserve a Representative who will always stand in solidarity in support of our workers rights.
That’s the public servant I intend to be for organized labor and for the Northland.
