No NYC or Seattle or Portland to be found.
Yes there are some blue cities/states that make their way into this including New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona & Detroit.
But you won’t find any of the cities the DOJ wants to portray as hotbeds of violent crime anywhere in the top 10 most violent places in America.
Why?
Because what matters here is adjusting these rates on per population basis. That tells you how likely you are to become a victim of crime.
Even when we look at gun-related deaths, it’s all red states.
