To clarify since people keep asking me, I really am on a short vacation out of town. Had nothing to do with this story. I had heard some people refer to Streiff as “Bill” but didn’t know if that was his real first name or not.

Had also heard he worked for some fed agency but didn’t know which one. Never crossed my mind to spend the time trying to find out — but I would’ve never guessed he worked for same agency as Fauci! That was the only really surprising thing about Lachlan’s story. Not the content.

I honestly have read very few RS posts at all since I left. Hadn’t seen his attacking Fauci until seeing them quoted in the DB article. Shockingly ugly but not surprising considering the attitude he had when I was there. I’ll just leave it at that.

I left RS almost a year ago but before I spoke to anyone in mgmt to say I was considering leaving, Streiff changed the Facebook permissions and kicked me out of the editorial channel on the RS slack. I was a contributing editor & he did that without talking to me about it.

Part of my pay was supposed to include a small stipend for editorial duties including helping with the social media, site management etc. He was making that impossible. There were other issues that I’ll keep for now but JG knows them & I remain unsatisfied with the resolution.

This was one of the straws that broke the camels back & I didn’t see myself able to stay at RS. I stayed as long as I did out of loyalty to others who had mentored & helped me when I was just starting writing but that never included Streiff.

I’ll just end this with a very emphatic, Bless Your Heart, Bill.
