The temple of Lord Bindu Madhav is a small house like temple situated on the banks of River Ganga at the Panchaganga Ghat. Popular belief is that Lord Vishnu bathed at the Panchaganga Ghat and established the Bindu Madhav Temple here. Many of us are not even aware of this temple
Kashi is a very important place of pilgrimage located in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
This city is one among the sapta moksha-puris the cities where one can achieve liberation. Kashi is
divided into two parts Vishnu Kashi and Shiva Kashi.
From Manikarnika Ghat to the Adi Keshava Ghat, the city is known as Vishnu Kashi. From Manikarnika till Assi Ghat, this city is known as Shiva Kashi. Vishnu donated Kashi in to Shiva per his request. After receiving Kashi from Vishnu, Shiva donated half of back to Vishnu.
As a gratitude to Vishnu, Shiva created Vishnu Kunda at the Manikarnika Ghat. Any devotee who
takes a bath in this Kunda at 12 pm is released from shackles of birth & death. Vishnu Kunda is called as Manikarnika Kunda .As Shiva's pearl studded ear-ring had
fallen in this Kunda.
The three presiding Deities of Kashi are Vishwanath, Kala Bhairava and Bindu Madhav. Devotees who visit Kashi visit Vishwanath and Kala
Bhairava. However the temple of Bindu Madhav is visited by very few devotees. Even themap of Varanasi does not locate the Bindu Madhav
Temple.
But the fact is that the pilgrimage to Kashi is incomplete without the darshan of Bindu Madhav. कञ्जातपत्रायतलोचनाय
कर्णावतंसोज्ज्वलकुण्डलाय ।
कारुण्यपात्राय सुवंशजाय
नमोऽस्तु रामाय सलक्ष्मणाय ॥ १ ॥
विद्युन्निभाम्भोदसुविग्रहाय
विद्याधरैः संस्तुतसद्गुणाय ।
वीरावताराय विरोधिहन्त्रे
नमोऽस्तु रामाय सलक्ष्मणाय ॥ २ ॥
संसक्तदिव्यायुधकार्मुकाय
समुद्रगर्वापहरायुधाय ।
सुग्रीवमित्राय सुरारिहन्त्रे
नमोऽस्तु रामाय सलक्ष्मणाय ॥ ३ ॥
पीताम्बरालङ्कृतमध्यकाय
पितामहेन्द्रामरवन्दिताय ।
पित्रे स्वभक्तस्य जनस्य मात्रे
नमोऽस्तु रामाय सलक्ष्मणाय ॥ ४ ॥
नमो नमस्तेऽखिलपूजिताय
नमो नमश्चन्द्रनिभाननाय ।
नमो नमस्ते रघुवंशजाय
नमोऽस्तु रामाय सलक्ष्मणाय ॥ ५ ॥
इमानि पञ्चरत्नानि त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः ।
सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः स याति परमां गतिम् ॥ ६ ॥
इति श्रीरामकर्णामृतान्तर्गतं श्रीरामपञ्चरत्नम् ।

karṇāvataṁsōjjvalakuṇḍalāya |
kāruṇyapātrāya suvaṁśajāya

vidyunnibhāmbhōdasuvigrahāya

saṁsaktadivyāyudhakārmukāya
samudragarvāpaharāyudhāya |
sugrīvamitrāya surārihantrē

pītāmbarālaṅkr̥tamadhyakāya
pitāmahēndrāmaravanditāya |
pitrē svabhaktasya janasya mātrē
namō:’stu rāmāya salakṣmaṇāya || 4 ||
namō namastē:’khilapūjitāya
namō namaścandranibhānanāya
namō namastē raghuvaṁśajāya
namōstu rāmāya salakṣmaṇāya || 5 ||
imāni pañcaratnāni trisandhyaṁ yaḥ paṭhēnnaraḥ
sarvapāpavinirmuktaḥ sa yāti paramāṁ gatim || 6 ||
