Hello from the Denver capitol. Just got here as most of the earlier crowd was leaving. A group of about 100 or so have stayed behind, unclear for how long. Leaders stressing for everyone to go home.
Anyway, this was most of my evening
Man came down the road protestors were occupying and ran through
Police apparently checking out a suspicious package on the corner
Corner clear, people still hanging around
And we’re moving
Taking over an intersection now
Leader screaming it’s their constitutional right to protest anywhere and anytime while holding up traffic
Man who works at the shop behind me as protestors use the dumpster as a blockade.
“I need that, I need that.”
Crowd cheers as protestors throw fireworks at Denver police
Police are pushing protestors out of an occupied intersection
Dumping out the trash on the street
Started tearing down fence. Gave up when police approached
Police just rammed through dumpster
Car is beat up
