It’s definitely a huge problem there are so many men - and women - like Dave running this country: Rich, entitled, mediocre, devoid of courage, vision, or empathy. ‘Rulers who neither see, nor feel, nor know,’ as Shelley put it more than two hundred years ago
For people like Dave, Osborne & Johnson politics is a game & an ego-fest. Asked why he wanted to be PM, Dave once replied ‘I think I'd be rather good at it’.
As we know, he wasn’t. He was a feckless windbag, whose only virtue was that he wasn’t as bad as his successors
But his uselessness is clearly part of an ongoing trend: the British ruling classes are no longer any good at ruling. Their feckless sociopathy and entitlement have helped bring about the calamitous self-destruction of their own country and the worst PM in British history.
No matter what happens they’ll go on making money, putting on weight, chillaxing, like Dave.
But the real problem isn’t the Daves per se. It’s that so many people don’t see how useless & dangerous they are, & continue to look up to them.
And until that changes, nothing will.
