Carlton Davis work vs Michael Thomas

Davis vs Thomas press work
shadowing Thomas most of this game. From the 1st play in press. I'm big on challenging not only the receiver but yourself. Davis did a really good job all game with that. I think that last clip is the only catch Davis gave up in press vs Thomas
Off coverage work. I thought this was beautiful here. Utilizing the leverage step. Leverage step allows you to stay square while keeping your initial inside leverage with the receiver so the receiver cant cross face allowing the DB to break evenly in any direction or turn and run
In zone you often times see corners bail and play too soft. At about the 47 yard line you see him start to settle his feet. That's him anticipating the receiver sitting down his route. Great feel. Nice hips and feet working together. PBU int. But they called PI. SMH.. shame.
When I talk about challenging yourself that's what I mean. It's easy to play soft and give up the underneath route in zone and say "Keep everything in front of you, Eliminate the big play." How about go make a play. Love it
Good work here on the 2 to 1 read. Hard to defend dbl verts but favor 2 and make them throw to 1 and go make a play. I'd say you typically don't want to show it so early. Play with leverage. Brees lack of confidence in arm?
The 1 blemish.. Missed tackle resulting in a TD. Tough play.. make the tackle.
