@PatyArmendariz Very simple. Just compare the percentage of deaths with the numbers of cases closed in Mexico: worldometers.info/coronavirus/co…

@PatyArmendariz CLOSED CASES in Mexico: 594,048
Cases which had an outcome:
Recovered / Discharged: 518,204 (87%)
Deaths: 75,844 (13%)
13%! I mean, 13%!

Now the World CLOSED CASES:
Cases which had an outcome: 25,172,112
Recovered / Discharged: 24,178,570 (96%)

Deaths: 993,542 (4%)
4%!

@PatyArmendariz Let me repeat, the rest of the world has 4% of deaths, 96% of survivors. Mexico has 87% of survivors, and 13% of dead people!

@PatyArmendariz India has 98% of survivors.

@PatyArmendariz The US has got 96%!

@PatyArmendariz Brazil has got 97% of survivors.

@PatyArmendariz Russia has 98% of survivors.

@PatyArmendariz Mexico is the country with more new deaths in the world:
+405 as of today.

@PatyArmendariz Mexico is 4th place in total deaths, 75,844. This is the official figure, which is well known to be badly miscalculated. According to López-Gatell, it should be multiplied by a factor of 3. That is approximately 227,532, with 5,401 new cases.

@PatyArmendariz Mexico, with those 5,401 new cases is number one in the world.

@PatyArmendariz As you can see, The Economist is right, and you are wrong.

@PatyArmendariz I suppose that being an economist and actuarian you must be able to calculate the rates above compared with the population of each country and the world. Worldometer has got these data, too.
