@joshrogin @joshua_landis Josh, it's incredible that you to try to lecture about Syria when you are an open supporter of the proxy war that caused the atrocities. Luckily there are other Americans more aware of the facts, or more willing to acknowledge them. Listen to Joe Biden:

@joshrogin @joshua_landis Biden: "Our allies were our largest problem in Syria... They poured hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of tons of weapons into anyone who would fight against Assad. Except that the people who were being supplied were... Al-Qaeda & the extremist elements of jihadis..."

@joshrogin @joshua_landis This is what you want us to support. No thanks, I'm not an Al-Qaeda fan. I guess you are?

@joshrogin @joshua_landis The only thing Biden missed was the major US role, but don't worry, the NYT and your own newspaper told us about that. The US proxy war in Syria "was one of the costliest cover action programs" in CIA history (NYT), "with a budget approaching $1 billion a year." (WP)

@joshrogin @joshua_landis Guess who benefited from the US flooding Syria with thousands of tons of weapons? Luckily US media outlets told us:

@joshrogin @joshua_landis You claim you oppose atrocities. Yet you wanted to arm fanatics who were bent on, as NYT's Robert F. Worth found, "sectarian mass murder" and were "corrupt, brutal, and compromised by foreign sponsors."

@joshrogin @joshua_landis Because of the proxy war you supported, Al Qaeda was able to create, in the words of US envoy Brett McGurk, the "the largest Al Qaeda safe haven since 9/11" in Idlib. Congrats?
