In my time on Twitter this is who I've seen getting the most abuse on my feed

Munroe Bergdorf
Black Trans women
Trans women
Trans men & Non Binary people
Sally Hines
Cis lesbian allies
Mermaids
Trans inclusive orgs
Mums of trans kids
Cis gay journalists
Trans inclusive women

The abuse comes from "Gender Critical" men & women, from white male misogynists, & the Christian right.

The abuse is targeted transphobia & also frequently, racist, misogynistic & homophobic.

The abusers are obsessive & ideologically fundamentalist

I've watched those on the receiving end of twitter Gender Critical abuse, attempt conversation & discussion. They take time to share stories, provide lived experience & peer reviewed evidence, in the hope that the torrent will calm, there will be shared understanding & learning

I can count on the fingers of one hand, from thousands of interactions, those that have been engaged by GC's in good faith & with kindness & end with learning or growth. Instead I witnessed time & again, trans people & trans allies, being subject to a relentless barrage of noise

Even those with the stomach & patience for the endlessly repeated defence of their very lives, succumb eventually to exhaustion.

Twitter is unsafe for trans people. Twitter must take action on accounts which exist solely to abuse & malign others. #BanTERFS

* the above groups are in a rough order of my personal perception of anti trans abuse, & the categories are clearly not exclusive with multiple overlaps. As personal anecdote, I get approximately a quarter of the trolling of @FierceMum in spite of having double the followers.
