Good Morning Wonthaggi!
The Wonthaggi line branched of the South Gippsland line at Nyora. Open 1910 closed 1978. The line was built for coal transport, but passenger and general goods services provided. Extensions were built to access coal mines.

I used to fish on this beach for Australian Salmon in the surf. A dangerous beach for swimming.
