Good Morning Cressy!
Cressy was at the junction of two cross-country lines and was an important railway centre. The line from Colac reached Cressy 1910, Newtown 1911. The Gheringhap - Cressy - Maroona line completed 1913.

A good view of the facilities when first opened. The station building, signal box and refreshment rooms added a few years later. Cressy was a busy place, in 1916, on a single day 26 trains passed through Cressy.

This was the connection from Colac. The line from Colac through to Newtown closed 1953.

After the closing of the Colac-Ballarat line in 1953 station was progressively downgraded, and was closed in the 1990s.
