I am posting this, with permission, from Radical Vegan, who no longer has a Twitter account. It is info about the social media "blocking apps" like Terf Tracker, Terf Blocker, and Shinigami Eyes Terf Hunter.1/15

"Recently, I’ve seen a couple of posts here and on Facebook concerning some of the “terf blocking” extensions that TRAs use to preemptively block so-called “terfs” or mark their accounts so people know who to block." 3/15

"It’s a way for TRAs to keep their echo chambers safe and secure from rational debate. Or so I thought…"4/15

"These posts have brought to light some information about these blocking apps and those who support them. Every single one of them was created by or run by a rapist."5/15

"Apparently, the [redacted] extension was created by [name redacted], who has been accused of raping multiple young women, including a 14-year-old girl." [Sorry for the redaction, but Twitter protects rapists.]6/15

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Radical Vegan explains, "This seems to make it perfectly clear that the point of blocking and silencing “terfs” is much more focused on keeping us from outing these men for the abusers they are."13/15

"They [rapists] want to make sure that we can’t show their followers and hangers-on who these men truly are..." [or *women*, as they call themselves. Don't want to "misgender" a rapist and get kicked off here. It's happened before.] 14/15

Moral of this story: Don't use these social media blocks. They aren't about keeping you safe (unless you're an abuser trying to escape accountability). 15/15
