Over the weekend & the past few days our student officers, & student volunteers, have been up at Halls helping to carry out welfare checks and deliver food parcels to isolating students.

Although students in University Halls are now getting some much needed help we know that there are many of you who might need help but haven’t received it, particularly if you’re living in private halls or just renting a flat.

✅ 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀

We are reminding students that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 (𝗡𝗼. 𝟮) 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 meaning you have the right to terminate your tenancy with only 28 days’ notice.

✅ 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

Since the start of lockdown and throughout Freshers’ Week we have been working with our clubs and societies to put on online events and share interactive content.

We will continue to share events via our Glasgow Student Events platform (glasgowstudent.native.fm) including our Find a Mate Whilst You Isolate sessions plus Conversational English Cafés which will both start next week.

These are incredibly challenging times to be a student and if you’re just starting at UofG we can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you.
