It's funny sometimes how we have our plans while life is just somewhere looking at us like "See this mumu😂. "
I remember my plan of getting married to my ex immediately after her service year. We dated for 3 and a half years.
Though it was a long-distance relationship, mostly.

She was studying at Afe Babalola University.
I took responsibility for everything she needed from her second year in school.
Tuitions sometimes, rent, clothes, everything.
I wasn't complaining.
I love taking care of my woman. I don't want to give room for any other man.

After graduation, I was able to help her get her deployment to Lagos so that she can get more opportunities with her Mass Communication degree due to the high number of radio stations and media houses in Lagos.
She started her service, and a few months later, I planned to visit.

Her birthday was on May 15th.
I planned on getting to Lagos on the 10th, so I would sort all surprises out and make her last birthday as a bachelorette.
I got into Lagos on the 10th as planned.
I paid for a cake from an online vendor here.

I lodged at a hotel not so far from her place. I had to make everything perfect.
I got a few gifts and wine.
Booked a nice restaurant for dinner and paid for the reservation.
Everything was perfectly planned.
After the second day of trying to lie to her about my location

I decided to give her a surprise at her place.
I didn't plan to, but I was too lonely, I will not lie.
The Air condition in the hotel I was staying in was extremely cold😂.
It was as if I was spending my one week off work in the Atlantic.
Anyway, I got to her place

It's a one-story building; the lower part of the house is used for a factory, producing Nylons, so the main gate is almost always opened since trucks come in and go.
I went straight into the building, went upstairs, and I opened the door.

I knew she was in since the TV was playing very loud of her favorite African Magic show.
I went into her room, and she wasn't there.
So I heard the shower running (Perfect moment for a surprise visit 😁). I had to pull off my clothes so I could join her in there for a shower too.

I opened the bathroom door with my boxers, and I saw a man giving her a very hot one in the shower with my two eyes.
It was intense 😩.
That idiot guy was almost choking her in process.
I don't even get to do that to my baby 😭.

They saw me, though she stopped and was ashamed.
But the "I can explain" Nollywood line pissed me off more.
What's there to explain, what lie would get her out of that.
It was impossible to unsee what I just saw.
I had to dress up and leave.
I was heartbroken.

Canceled all reservations and things I planned.
She didn't know the hotel I was in.
I decided to go for a walk to clear my head.
I saw some sex workers, and I decided to patronize one to end the horrible day.
I got some alcohol and food.
Went back to the hotel with the girl.

It was my first time doing such.
We didn't even get to know each other or anything we got in. She went into the bathroom to shower as she will be with me overnight before I leave the next day.
When she got out of the bathroom, I went in too.

I was a bit drunk, but I knew all I was doing and all and just wanted to pass my aggression on something 😩.
We started having sex after I got out of the shower, and after some min, this girl started shaking and then stopped moving and stiff.
Her heart was still beating

I went down to the receptionist to call for help and take her to the hospital or something.
She went out and called the Police instead saying someone I took in just died in my room or so.
Three policemen came in, one touched her pulse and nodded while one was holding me

I thought I was in a bad dream, they took me into their car, as I was under arrest.
On our way to the station, they started telling me how I was stupid to take girls that have no life into the hotel.
I was crying and explaining.
They said they would let me go if I cooperate

I was told to give them some cash, and they will drop me right there, and I can take my things and leave Lagos.
That was like an escape plan.
I had 700k in my account at that time.
I transferred 600k to someone they called on the phone.
I was allowed to go

One thing left is my wallet, which contains my ID card and all.
It was at the hotel.
The only thing for me is to go back into the hotel, pick it up, and leave immediately.
The receptionist wasn't there when I got there. I went straight to the room; they've packed the girl. Got my

Wallet and started Operation run for your life.
I got downstairs, and the receptionist wasn't there, so I made my way out of the hotel. I got outside, and surprisingly Dead girl was up and running, drinking a cold beer with assorted meats.
I didn't understand what was happening.

So, in the end, they were fake Police Men planned with the girl and receptionist to dupe me while I run for my life in fear, never coming back to the area.
Well, it was a horrible day, where I learned a lot.
I was able to recover my money when the girl was arrested.

I left Lagos the next day with a broken heart and a horrible night experience.
