Sources : Arrested former CBI SP NMP Sinha is being interrogated at CBI Hqrs. At Delhi. NPM Sinha was caught red handed while attempting to receive a bribe of Rs.25 lakhs with a promise of influencing the investigation in favour of the accused
in the case of alleged cheating against mining companyUsha Martin with regards to lease for an iron ore mine to it in Jharkhand in 2005.
The state government favoured Usha Martin in its recommendation to the center for the allotment of mine
as the company had allegedly promised that it would use the ore in its steel plant in Ghamaria in the state. This was the basis of undertaking. But, M/s Usha Martin reneged on its promise and derived undue pecuniary advantage. The CBI in 2016,
registered a case against Jharkhand officials.
It is in this case retired CBI SP NMP Sinha is caught now. Sinha was the eyes and ears of former CBI Addl. Director Rakesh Asthana, who is aspiring to come in as DCBI. All the bribery activities of Ashtana were done by NMP.

Is this the check for the anti-Modi camp in Delhi for whom any attack on Rakesh Asthana is an attack on him, remains to be seen.
