Inspired by a passage from The Psychology of Money by @morganhousel:
Imagine you’re a comedian with a Netflix special in 6 months time.
Do you spend 6 months writing jokes and show up on the day?
No.
You spend a week, go to a comedy club and see how they land.
Some good, some bad, some awful.
Throw out the bad, tweak the good, keep the great.
Repeat this process until you have enough material for your 90 minute set.
Twitter is this feedback loop for your ideas.
Test, tweak, compile.
Repeat.
