Namaste @ShefVaidya ji, here is the video of Bhadrakali/Dakshina Kali Doddagaddhavalli Chatushkuta temple, which was built in C.E. 1113 during the rule of Hoysala Vishnuvardhana. It is a unique temple of Mahalakshmi and Bhadrakali placed in south sanctum.

Part two of the video. Officials are visiting the temple now and assessing what could've happened.
People in the video say, idol must have slipped too. As of now it is not clear how this idol destroyed.
@ASIGoI must answer.

I'll keep this thread open to give complete details about the incident.

There were too many confusions on this issue. Hence I didn't tweet.
1. Communal angle
2. Thieves angle
3. In search of treasure.
4. Slipped off from Ashtabandha.

According to local police 4th point is true. If u observe the pic, there is very less gap inside the hole.

Since, murthi not the one which stands on the support of wall and also was heavy from the front, it slipped and fell right in front of Mantap.
Point to be noted here is priest had already complained to @ASIGoI saying murthi may fall any time. As usual it was neglected.

But my observation is entirely different. Let me explain why.
👉 Ashtabandha is not like normal gum like thing. It is a very much strong to hold murthi for centuries.
👉 It may slip in other cases, but here it is evident that one must lift it to desecrate the murthi.

👉 Why only this murthi? Compared to other murthis in the temple(pics), destroyed murthi looks healthy. But how did it slipped?
👉 Police say there is no forceful entry or any damages. But we know how well secured are our temples under @ASIGoI. They're easy to enter.

👉 If murthi had slipped just like thay, what are all those marks just behind the Ashtabandha hole?

I must submit, that this is not just another case to close. IO of the case must look into these aspects as well.
Also, question why @ASIGoI neglected priest's complaint?
End.
