THREAD: rightwing rallies against election results are continuing in our state.

Here's a summary of what's approaching over the next two weeks. With one possible exception, we're discussing events in Atlanta.

National "Stop the Steal" organizer Ali Alexander states on social media that he will do an event in Atlanta on Wednesday, Dec 2nd. Location has not been announced yet.

Alexander invited & prominently featured white nationalists & far-Right propagandists at earlier ATL rallies.

Here's a recent report-back discussing Ali Alexander's earlier rallies in Georgia.

On Saturday, December 5, Trump will be holding a rally in Georgia for the two GOP candidates in the Jan runoff for US Senate. Location has not been announced.

Ali Alexander's "Stop the Steal" website also mentions this rally on its calendar.

Even before Trump's announcement, there were plans for another MAGA convoy into Atlanta on December 5th.

This Facebook event was created by Thomas Ambort, a far-Right "patriot" from Long Island who is aligned with III% militia types.

Ambort previously attended an evening rally at the Georgia Capitol on November 14th, after a MAGA convoy arrived in from Florida.

It's possible that the plan to go into Atlanta on the 5th may change, depending on where Trump chooses to hold his rally.

Other organizers from the 11/14 Florida convoy are also planning another caravan into Georgia on December 5. They aim to attend Trump's rally.

The next day, Sunday the 6th, some of them will rally at the Capitol in Atlanta @ 11:30AM, holding a prayer event against "corruption".

Ali Alexander will also be in Atlanta on the 6th according to this post from yesterday. His plans for that day are unclear right now.

Finally, on Saturday December 12, the "Southern Patriot Counsel" has advertised a militia show of force at the Capitol building in Atlanta.

SPC is Eric Braden, a veteran from Texas. Braden heavily promoted and was involved in the August militia/racist rally at Stone Mountain GA.

Braden also attempted a "Stone Mountain Redux" event to compensate for the August humiliation, but canceled that at the last minute.

It's possible he will cancel the Dec 12 event too if he does not receive adequate support.

There may well be other events announced for Saturday the 12th -- the same day as another major rally in Washington DC.

We'll update this thread as more info comes in.

We hope this info is useful to anti-racist organizers plus anyone living downtown who may need to make plans.

Update: "Stop the Steal" national organizer Ali Alexander has called for rallies in Alpharetta GA tomorrow (Weds) afternoon & at Capitol building in Atlanta, Thurs. morning - early afternoon.

Alexander has worked closely w/ clear white nationalists in recent weeks. #atlscanner

The past is not always a reliable guide to the future, but previously Alpharetta has been used as a meet-up point for caravans to the (Republican) Secretary of State's residence.

More MAGA events against election results in ATL:

Kylie Jane Kremer of Women for America First has announced protests at the Georgia Capitol for Thurs the 3rd and Fri the 4th.

This is part of a bus tour headed to DC for a larger rally on the 12th. #atlscanner

This should be interesting, since the Thursday event at the Capitol overlaps with a rally there called by "Stop the Steal" national organizer Ali Alexander.

Ali Alexander & Women for America First have been publicly and bitterly feuding recently.

Okay, so Lin Wood just announced on Twitter that he's going to have a press conference with fellow attorney/conspiracy theory monger Sidney Powell tomorrow afternoon in Alpharetta.

So that's likely what Ali Alexander was tying to get a crowd for earlier.

Ali Alexander has now confirmed that the Alpharetta press conference w/ Wood & Powell -- being held at the oddly specific time of 2:05PM -- is his event tomorrow.

State Rep. Vernon Jones who participated in Alexander's other GA rallies will also be there.

It's a conspiracy theory press conference in Alpharetta.

Trump's rally on Saturday will be in Valdosta, southern Georgia.

In Alpharetta, far-Right lawyer Lin Wood is speaking to large crowd.

He tells "Soros" to get out of country -- an obvious antisemitic dog-whistle.

Wood demands that Republican governor be imprisoned. "Lock him up" chant from crowd.

Sidney Powell harking back to the 50s when she claims there was not the racial "divisiveness" that exists today. Maybe that's a code for something.🤔

Spinning Dominion conspiracy theories now.

"There should not be a runoff, certainly not on Dominion machines", discourages vote.

Lin Wood speaks again before Vernon Jones:

Like David, says they're going to "slay" Goliath, the Communists, the liberals, the "phonies" -- presumably Republicans who are insufficiently loyal.

After Vernon Jones tells crowd to vote for Loeffler and Perdue, Lin Wood contradicts him.

Wood says the two GOP candidates for US Senate do not deserve a vote until they call for special session to reverse election results & voting system "fixed".

After 1/2 hour Q&A, Lin Wood and "Stop the Steal" national organizer Ali Alexander promote tomorrow's rally at Georgia Capitol.

The rally / "press conference" has now wrapped up.

No suprise: election conspiracy theorists doing everything possible to rile up the believers.

Another MAGA rally against election results starts there at noon. That one is by Women for America First, who are feuding with Alexander.

Note the prominent display of the Confederate battle flag, a symbol of white supremacy with a shameful history in our state.

To be specific: the Confederate battle flag was incorporated into Georgia's state flag as a sign of defiance against Civil Rights and desegregation. The GA state flag was only changed in 2001.

(Actually the state flag from 2001 - 2003 also incorporated a much smaller Confederate battle flag.)

Anyway, looks like today's rallies have packed up at the Capitol.

The MAGA convoy from Florida leaving Saturday that we mentioned earlier is now planning to attend Trump's rally in Valdosta, southern Georgia, that day but still rallying in ATL on Sunday.

The predicted drama did occur, with Alexander tweeting about the Women for America First bus allegedly trying to hijack his rally while he was inside the Capitol.

Just a few weeks ago, Alexander & WFAF leadership were close allies.
