That fact has been known to science for over a century. eCO2 is one of the reasons famines have become rare — the importance of which cannot be overstated.

You're wrong about NPK fertilization requirements, though. Of course more productive crops use more nutrients, but they do NOT increase NPK fertilization requirements when calculated per unit of production (i.e., the right way), only when calculated per acre (the wrong way).

We already know that corn benefits tremendously from eCO2, and it's likely that nitrogen-fixing corn will benefit from eCO2 even MORE than current corn varieties!
