I did a bit on VonBraun, leading into the name Quistorp. The Earth Satallite Program, VonBraun was a paperclip, his wife carried the last name Quistorp. Let me do a quick summary. Starting with guy, Wernher Von Braun.
Now, as interesting as this guy is, he is not the focus of all this. It's this lady, his wife. We can see that she took her husbands last name, what about her family? I've followed the wife, now I'll follow their fathers. The green arrow in this instance.
Stick with me, just going to follow the fathers until the 1600's. Maria Irmengard Emmy Luise Gisela von Braun (von Quistorp) is the daughter of this man, Johann Franz Anton August von Quistorp.
Johann Franz Anton August von Quistorp is the son to, Werner Theodor August Friedrich Wilhelm von Quistorp. A closer view at that crest too.
Werner Theodor August Friedrich Wilhelm von Quistorp was son to, Johann Franz Anton August von Quistorp.
Johann Franz Anton August von Quistorp was son to, Ulrich August Wilhelm von Quistorp.
Ulrich August Wilhelm von Quistorp was son to, Johann Gottfried [von] Quistorp.
Johann Gottfried [von] Quistorp was son to, Bernhard Friedrich Quistorp.
Bernhard Friedrich Quistorp is son to, Lorenz Gottfried Quistorp.
Lorenz Gottfried Quistorp is a son to, Johann Nicolaus Quistorp.
Johann Nicolaus Quistorp was a son to, Johann(es) Quistorp. (If you haven't noticed we've had birthplaces in Rostock for some time now.)
Johann(es) Quistorp was a son to, Prof. Rev. Johannes Quistorp, Snr.
If you've stuck with me, congratulations, we've just traced Maria Louise von Braun (von Quistorp)s, the paperclip scientists wifes blood line back about 350 years. Why is this relevant?
Prof. Rev. Johannes Quistorp, Snr. Lets look at those titles. Rector is the second snip, so the leader or senior (perhaps most senior) at this instituion. A preacher, a theologist. An alchemist? A Rosicrucian? Stick with me.
Same time that John Dee, one of the brightest minds at the time was alive. A guy by the name of Shakspear was going ham. Francis Bacon doin his thing. Point is a lot of at least well speculated occult players.
Now how does this guy, Prof. Rev. Johannes Quistorp, Snr, tie into all of this occult/alchemist movement? The University and whom visited and housed a class there. Joachim Jungius
Now if Prof. Rev. Johannes Quistorp, Snr was the head honcho, they knew each other, Jungius was allowed to create a class there. Surely Quistorp signed off on it.
Societas Ereunetica sive Zetetica, honestly not a lot on it. 30 year war was 1618-1648, looks like the school was doneski as of 1622? Not even sure the translation honestly.
So what else do we have on him? If he knew about Dee, Bacon, DeVere, I would suspect perhaps there's more to it. Not that savy myself. However this next bit provides some context of how good this guy might have been.
This was said, at least according to the wiki. "While Jungius of Lübeck is a man little known even in Germany itself, he was clearly of such judiciousness and such capacity of mind that I know of no other mortal, including even Descartes himself, from whom we could better have.."
expected a great restoration of the sciences, had Jungius been either known or assisted." This guy said that, he's pretty decorated, so I take that into consideration.
The only thing that is super slam dunk is the fact this line goes all the way up to paperclip. Through Von Brauns wife, traced back 344 years to the birth of Prof. Rev. Johannes Quistorp, Snr. a very interesting character, living in a very interesting time.
