Oh shoot I've wanted to play this game for years!

You've got until July 2 to buy this game.

Here's instructions on how to make a Japanese PSN account and load it with credits:

(I totally understand if you don't want to support the rush before the closing of the PS3 store though)

BTW while Chaos Breaker/Dark Awake was published by Taito, it was actually made by Eolith, a South Korean developer. The game has a really nice Warcraft/Golden Axe/Warhammer feel, leaning more into the latter, which makes it extra appealing to me!

The charmingly old school website for the arcade version of Chaos Breaker is still online! Check it out!

Here's the Japanese Wikipedia page for Chaos Breaker (there is no English one):

If you're wondering about the name change, "Chaos Breaker" is the original title for the arcade game. It was changed to "Dark Awake" when Recom released the game to PSN.

You may have heard of Eolith (이오리스) before. They took over the King of Fighters franchise briefly after SNK filed for Bankruptcy in late 2001.

Eolith developed KOF 2001 and KOF 2002

Although quite controversial at the time, I thought King of Fighters 2001 had excellent portrait art! I believe it was the first KOF where Nona took over as lead illustrator (don't quote me on this)
