The US Justice Department is launching a federal civil probe into policing practices in Minneapolis following the murder convictions of former officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd.

Jamar Clark, 24, was fatally shot during a scuffle with officers in front of an apartment building on November 15, 2015. cnn.it/3sFtrZC

Philando Castile, 32, was killed by a police officer in a St. Paul suburb on July 6, 2016, during a traffic stop. cnn.it/3sFtrZC

Justine Ruszczyk, 40, was shot and killed on the night of July 15, 2017 after she called 911 to report a possible sexual assault in an alley behind her house. cnn.it/3sFtrZC

Thurman Blevins, 31, was fatally shot by police on June 23, 2018, after law enforcement received a call of a man firing a handgun into the air and into the ground in a residential area in Minneapolis. cnn.it/3sFtrZC

Travis Jordan, 36, was killed by two Minneapolis police officers at his home on November 9, 2018, after his girlfriend called 911 "to report that he told her over the phone" he was going to kill himself, CNN affiliate WCCO reported. cnn.it/3sFtrZC
