Dear PM @narendramodi, nothing much to say.
I am sure you must be feeling bad that Govt did not do enough in the past one year to prepare.
But please realize that it is still not late for many districts since they are not yet severely affected.
Do focus there as well. 1/n
Apart from the team that is dealing with the ongoing full-blown crisis in many places, please create another team to focus on the districts that are yet to be as severely affected.
Start preparation in those districts also on war footing. 2/n
I don’t want to burden you with any new suggestions or sermons dear PM @narendramodi.
But would like to share some screenshots of the suggestions/requests that were posted last year during the lockdown. 3/n
Keep transparent, up to date and accessible database in each district about availability of various drugs, alternate options etc. Please be upfront about it. 4/n.
Don’t repeat the same mistake of everyone reporting we did our best, we sent a train, we did this, we did that. It will help only for PR.
Instead, keep a target for district/department etc, make the target transparent & then let people assess the progress. It is their lives. 5/n
Please understand this. We are not at war with any enemy. War time propaganda & narrative is not the way to go. Transparency is the way forward. Each citizen of this country has a right to know what is available in the place where she is staying. 6/n
Do not listen to those who underplay the scale of the crisis. What we are facing today needs a collective response beyond administrative solutions and bullying enforcers.
Bring everything and everyone together. 7/n
Don’t fill your team with people who are afraid of you and are mere yes-men. You need honest feedback and truth to reach you at this juncture. Otherwise your tears are worth nothing to those who have lost their dear ones. 8/n
Dear PM @narendramodi, we’ve all been doing our bit.
But if I can be of any better use, as a citizen with some administrative experience, consider my services as awaiting your direction. Whatever it be.
Oh I still can’t stand your Govt. But that is a fight for another time. GL.
