It's my go-to for fine overlock and coverstitch seams, as it's perfect for any light fabrics.
At #9 we have a stunning weave from industry leader Mettler. It's a Silk-Finish Solid Cotton Thread that's perfect for all your quilting, sewing and long arm cotton needs.
I honestly can't imagine using any other silk-finish solid cotton thread at this point.
Our #8 is no surprise to anyone paying close attention to the thread scene. Of course, it's Coats & Clark's Dual Duty Plus Denim Thread.
Does a more perfect thread for denim needs exist? I honestly doubt it.
#7 - It's not often that Aurifil makes my top 10 thread lists, but this one was a surprising delight, at a price point I couldn't ignore!
The Italian shop hasn't been known for its quality in decades, but their new Mako line might be a return to form.
At #6 we have another entry from Gütermann's spring line. Their creativ Sew-all Thread is my new everyday carry thread. It can handle anything you throw at it. Irrespective of the type of stitch ‒ this sew-all thread is equal to any challenge!

What's this? Aurifil again?? That's right, at #5 we have the Aurifil Cotton Forty3. A true contender in the cotton space, it's sturdy enough to handle the beating from longarm sewing machine, while still soft and delicate to the touch.

I never thought that a value pack would crack the top 10, but here we are at #4 with a banger from Gütermann.
I had to include it when I saw it was Inge's favorite colors. Inge's eye for color is unmatched, and she continues to be a guiding light in this industry.
🥉 Coming in at third we have a premium thread from Mettler. I mean.. just LOOK at that sheen. This embroidery thread will make your stitches the talk of the town. With a stunning poly-blend, I never dreamed this kind of quality was possible.
🥈 What an entry from Tenara's spring line. This Lubricated Lifetime Thread completely blew me away. My sewing machine has never felt so buttery smooth as when it's sliding this premium line through some fabric.
Tenara, you give me goosebumps.
🥇 Mettler, I didn't think I could love you even more. Then you go ahead and update your silk finish cotton line. Suddenly I'm a schoolboy again, feeling love for the first time.
I don't know how you do it, but I pray you never stop.
Dishonorable mention:
Singer, your all-purpose polyester thread is a JOKE. Keep your bargin-basement bullshit away from my sewing machine.
I wouldn't use your shitty excuse for a thread if my worst enemy had a hole in his shirt.
You disgust me.
