Ive got 4 tabs, snipping tool, and Skyrim SE running and it's barely 50% - before the change it literally hit 100% while I was using photoshop and dumped me back to desktop and crashed everything.
I'm kinda mad at it, tbh.
Literally all i want y'all to do is tell your friends about this. Don't let them suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune as is made manifest in this little checkbox.
Save them.
Clarification:
- memory hit 100%, and crashed me to desktop
- rebooted (selective startup) to restore work lost to crash
- see I'm idling at 54%, which is weird
- scroll through, notice a few inactive windows tasks
- find/uncheck settings
- rebooted
- dropped ~2gb idle memory
I get it's common for computer twitter to be like "shut the fuck up you pathetic idiot loser you just _____" but no, I didn't JUST restart.
If you DO leave your PC on for a long time, processes pile up & clog your memory, too. That's why some of you see like 4 gigs freed up.
